Osteopathy is an AHPRA-Accredited form of manual therapy. Osteopaths use a holistic approach to assist in diagnosing pain and dysfunction within the body to find the origin of the complaint. Osteopaths are trained Allied Health professionals whom undergo a minimum of 3 year Clinical Science degree followed by a 2 year Masters of Osteopathy programme in order to become a registered Osteopathic Practitioner.
Initial consultations usually involve a full-body screening process. This includes an in-depth analysis of history, pre-existing medical conditions, medical history, and analysis of desired outcomes and initial treatment. Duration: 45mins.
Subsequent consultations consists of an ongoing treatment/management plan, exercise rehabilitation and strength and conditioning review. Duration: 30min.
